Truth be told. "There is a Filipino in every country in this world." This FACT, often belittled by many, was echoed by the Institute of Migration and Development Issues (IMDI) in their 357-page Philippine Migration and Development Statistical Almanac.

The report identified that there are Filipinos in 239 countries (209 are members of the United Nations, while 30 are non-members, including islands and territories unfamiliar to many Filipinos).

This claim reminds me of the theory of self-proclaimed purveyor of world domination and writer Jessica Zafra. In 1994, she postulated that the Philippines can be a world power if Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) especially tsimays or maids stage a sit-down strike with the world's movers and shakers kneeling at its feet. What if other OFWs join in: executive chefs of world leaders refuse to cook their meals, health workers stage a hospital holiday, and construction workers throw their hard hats and call it a day.

Though sinister, this plot is possible and this "nation of servants" can slap Chip Tsao's acerbic criticism to rest.
